Girl Poured Acid on her Birthday

I recently got this message from a friend in Obalende, this happened on the 13th September, 2012. It’s quite unfortunate I couldn’t get a picture to show for this but this was how it went.

It was a joyful and a glorious day for her as she clocked 23, with her family and friends sending her wishes and gifts then it was time for her to throw them a party. All was set and the party had started at about 4pm with friends and loved ones seated for the party, drinks and food was served, a lot of games were played, dancing a lot other activities went on.

Then it was time for her to give a speech, her speech lasted for just 3minutes mainly giving thanks to all for coming and giving her support.

It’s in the habit of friends mostly on their friends’ birthdays to splash, pour or sprinkle water and ‘garri’ as the case may be on the celebrant, in her own case after her speech the MC of the occasion asked her friends and all present at d party to splash, pour or sprinkle water or drinks on her.
Just as this was going on with water and drinks being poured at her and the music being played out loud by the DJ, even with the loud noise coming from the speakers one could hear her screaming and shouting but no one noticed why and what was happening to her until someone alerted the DJ to stop the music then with shocks on the faces of everyone she was burning in pains. She has just been poured acid her face and body was burnt.

No one could tell who did this and even to trace where it came from was to no avail, but with lots of questions demanding answers from her family and everyone present at the party, with a lot of suspects but no evidence to point out the perpetrator. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment and the Police came to the scene for questioning and investigations.

A joyful day turned a day of doom for her. Who could have done this? What could she have done to that person? Could people be this heartless? ... A lot of questions demanding answers.
